The frequencies of malformations vary among different ethnic groups. In addition some of these malformations as neural tube defects are known to exhibit secular variations. The present study was undertaken to give preliminary data about the incidence of major malformations, detected at birth, among Palestinian population living in East Jerusalem and the southern part of the West Bank.
