- A New Method for the Preparation of Poly(Silmethylene) as a Precursor for Silicon Carbide Fibers
- Published at:An-Najah J. Res., Vol. II, No. 8 (1994)
Poly(silincthylene) has been prepared form 3-chloropropyltrichlorosilane. The structure of poly(sihnethylene) was investigated by JR and NMR spectroscopy. The pyrolysis of the polymer was studied by Thermal Gravimetric Analysis (TGA) and was found to give 70% ceramic yield after pyrolysis temp of 900°C.
