  • Processor Requirements for Reliable PCB Repair Via Robots in an Automated Test Center
  • Published at:International Symposium on Transfer of Computer Technology, Jordan Engineers Association, Nov. 23, 1987, Amman, Jordan.
  • ABSTRACT:

In this paper the feasibility of using robots for printed circuit board (PC3) automated repair (AR) is discussed. A technique is given where by robot PCB repair stations can be incorporated in the PCB automated integrated manufacturing (AIM) systems of Gardner, and various requirements on the robots operating in such a system are discussed. Expressions are developed for the processor requirement to achieve a specified reliability of each operation within an operational area of Gardner useful in automated test center and repair (ATCR).
