  • تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على صناديق الاستثمار الإسلامية من حيث طبيعتها، وأنواعها وطريقة عملها، وإدارتها، ومدى الاختلاف بينها وبين صناديق الاستثمار التقليدية. حيث بدأ البحث بتعريفها على أنها مؤسسات مالية تحصل على الأموال من أعداد كبيرة من المستثمرين عن طريق بيعهم الأسهم التي تصدرها، (رأسمالها المكون من أسهم) ووضع حصيلة بيع هذه الأسهم تحت إدارة متخصصة ليتم استثمارها في موجودات مالية (أوراق مالية) لمصلحة ومنفعة المساهمين فيها. الذين هم أنفسهم المستثمرون فيها من صغار أو كبار المدخرين. ويعود تاريخها إلى سنة 1822 وزاد عددها عن 8000 صندوق، تدير حوالي 6.4 تريليون د

  • A Municipal Management and Decentralization Policy ‎Analysis‏ ‏in the Palestinian Territories

  • This study aims at assessing the performance of local government in Palestine in regard to fiscal and administrative decentralization. Data was gathered from the Ministry of Local Government, Ministry of Finance and a questionnaire was sent to 12 municipalities' key officials. It was found that the government is organized into the central government headed by the president, the cabinet, the governorates, mayors and village councils. The main functions of the local governments are to provide the necessary needed services. It was found that there is a degree of decentralization in providing the intended services as the functions of each level is clearly defined by the law, even though there is an overlapping amongst these functions due to the current situation instability The study explains several aspects including organization of the local government, decision making process, functional responsibilities, partnership among local government and the performance of these partnerships, employment, training program

  • Islamic Banking in Palestine Challenges and Prospects

  • This study aimed at investigating the challenges and prospects of Islamic banks operating in the Palestinian territories. The study starts by a historical background of Islamic banks. Four Islamic banks are now operating with 12 branches with total assets of about 261 million dollars as at the end of March 2001. The study shows the market share of Islamic banks of the banking market, Investments classification according to economic sectors. And challenges which face Islamic banks. The study ends with recommendations. These recommendations help these banks to prosper and grow.
